<正> Multisymplectic and variational integrators are presented from a comparative point of view in this paper. On multisymplectic integrators, we discuss their implementation issue and present composition methods for constructing higher order multisymplectic integrators. On variational integrators, we prove their equivalence to multisymplectic integrators. Several generalizations are also presented.
