In recent years,the method of fundamental solutions (MFS),which is a particular boundary-type meshless method,has become an alternative to solving boundary value problems of inhomogeneous partial differential equations. The basic idea of this method is to transform the given boundary value problem of the inhomogeneous partial differential equation into a new boundary value problem of the corresponding homogeneous partial differential equation via a numerically obtained particular solution to the original inhomogeneous partial differential equation. The efficiency and accuracy of this approach heavily depend on how we evaluate the particular solution of a given inhomogeneous partial differential equation.
