IMPACT RESPONSE AND SAFETY CHECK OF STEEL PIPE CHECK DAM

【Abstract】

<正>This paper presents experimental and computational approaches on impact response and safety check of steel pipe check dam structures under impact of huge rock in the debris flow.First,the dynamic(rapid-speed) loading test was performed in order to examine the dynamic ultimate limit state of a steel pipe member and the failure criteria of dynamic plastic rotation capacity was proposed.Second,the three dimensional(3-D) elastic-plastic impact response analysis method was developed to find the dynamic deformations of steel pipe check dam structure.Finally,the safety check was numerically illustrated for the actual steel pipe check dam under different impact points and different impact velocities.
