【Abstract】

<正>A discrete multi-layered explosion containment vessel(DMECV) consists of a thin inner cylindrical shell and helically cross-winding fiat steel ribbons,which is convenient in fabrication and low in cost.The DMECVs generally fall into two categories:vessels designed for one-time-use and for multiple-use.For a multiple-use DMECV,the response should be restricted in the elastic range.The dynamic elastic response of a discrete multi-layered explosion containment vessel under transient loading is numerically simulated using the dynamic finite element program LS-DYNA in this paper.Numeric results show that all the ribbons in the ribbon layers will move together in radial direction under transient loading in the elastic range.It also shows that the effective stresses in each ribbon layer are almost the same.These results are useful to establish a design guide for multiple-use DMECVs.
