<正>Rigid supports,such as the clamped and simply supports,are used rarely at the ends of arch in the engineering practice,but flexible supports,such as elastic supports and damping supports,are used often.In the present paper the mechanical model of arch with flexible supports is built with the elastic and damping supports and lumped masses at the ends of arch being considered.Based on large deformation dynamic differential equations and finite difference method,the elastic-plastic dynamic responses of arch subjected to blast loads are studied.The analysis shows that flexile supports have great effects on the performances of arch.Vertical elastic supports can reduce the peak forces of arch under blast loads with short duration, and postpone the time of peak,and the vertical damping supports lower the internal forces and displacements.Therefore,the resistance of arch can be improved by flexible supports.
