【Abstract】

<正>The effect of electrostatic tractions on the fracture behavior of a dielectric material under mechanical and electric loading is analyzed by using a pre-cracked parallel-plate capacitor.Electrostatic tractions produce compressive and tensile stress fields in the material regions,respectively,far away front and behind from the crack tip.
