Concrete was considered to be consisting of the aggregate distributing randomly among the cementitious mortar on the level of meso-structure. The paper analyzed the temperature field and coupled thermal stress of heated concrete consisting three phases: mortar matrix, interface transition zone and aggregate by numerical simulation. On the basis of the general principal of finite element method and quasi-brittle cracking of concrete, the failure element was chosen according to the maximum tensile stress criterion. Meantime, the stiffness degradation method was used to simulate the crack propagation paths by tensile stress and interface damage. The numerical result showed that the method can predict the crack propagation paths.
