Research On A Mathematical Model for Self-excited Vertical Vibration of Plane Gates

【Abstract】

Within a range of relative opening, the plane gate may undergo strong self-excited vibration with vortex shedding from the underneath when there is a water-head between upper and lower. Structure-wake oscillator model is applied to the research of self-excited vertical vibration of the plane gate. Von der por equation is used as the wake model. Max vibration displacement and frequency ratio are calculated by adding the add mass and fixing other parameters reasonably. The calculated value agrees well with the experimental value which realizes the integration of parameters influencing the self-excited vertical vibration and realizes the quantitative research. The research provides scientific bases for the research of mechanism of self-excited gate vibration.
