Effect of impurity absorption on defect mode of doped phononic crystal

【Abstract】

In this paper,complex wave number is employed to deduce the transfer matrix of impurity doped 1-D phononic crystal.And the influence of impurity absorption on defect mode of the crystal is studied in detail.Calculated absolute value of transmission coefficient (|T|) and reflection coefficient (|R|) of impurity doped 1-D phononic crystal indicate that defect modes of transmission and reflection waves are greatly influenced by attenuation coefficient of impurity (κ).The defect mode in transmission wave is more obvious when the κ is 0-0.002k.However,with increasing κ,defect mode reduces rapidly and tends to disappear when the κ reaches to 0.005 k.Moreover,there is similar phenomenon of defect mode in reflection wave
