【Abstract】

<正> To analyze the dependencies of the photorefraction in LiNbO_3 on the intrinsic defects we correlate the defect structure inferred from the X-ray diffraction- and neutron-scattering experiments to the data on the photorefraction and optical-damage resistance. Structure results in LiNbO_3 doped with optical-damage resistant impurities Mg, Zn, In and in LiNbO_3 with different [Li]/[Nb] ratio are presented. Doping with optical-damage resistant ions similarly to increasing [Li]/[Nb] ratio reduces the number of the intrinsic defects
