【Abstract】

<正>The CLC-type channels and Cl~-/H~+ exchangers have been extensively studied in recent years. They play major roles in cellular excitability,epithelial salt transport,volume,pH,and blood pressure regulation.Consistent with these physiological roles,several genetic diseases in humans are associated with functionally defective CLC-type mutants.These include Bartter's syndrome(a salt-wasting disorder),both Becker's and thomsen's myotonias(muscle stiffness),Dent's disease(formation of kidney stones) and osteopetrosis(excessive bone density).
