The study of Humidity stress field theory in swelling rock mass

<正>In soft rock engineering,it has long been quite a difficult problem to evaluate the stress and strain resulting from wetting in a swelling rock mass.In this paper the authors present a new theory in mechanics—the humidity stress field theory,with the help of which the dilation and softening of a swelling rock mass due to wetting can be analyzed.Two basic problems are discussed in detail:The effects of moisture content on the mechanical properties of a swelling rock,and the various regularities of humidity in a rock mass.Governing equations in the theory of humidity stress field are deduced,and a simple azisymmetric problem is investigated using these equations.
