<正>Angiogenesis in the brain is based on the interaction of a large number of tissue factors. A major player in this context is VEGF. In the present study, 2 aspects of VEGF were investigated: One aspect refers to the question whether neural stem cells have the intrinsic potential to induce the growth of new capillaries, in addition to their neurogenic potential. The other aspect concerns the potential of VEGF to induce new capillaries in the intact brain.
