Tumor suppressor p53 play role as an angiogenesis inhibitor may through its downstream target gene angiomotin-like 2

Klas G.Wiman;

<正>The p53 tumour suppressor gene is a transcription factor that can triggers cell cycle arrest or apoptosis in response to different stress stimuli, e.g. DNA damage, activated oncogenes and hypoxia. We have studied p53-dependent gene and protein expression in response to hypoxia using wild type p53-carrying and p53 null HCT116 colon carcinoma cells and a cDNA microarray containing 20,000 transcripts. Hypoxia induced p53 protein levels and p53- dependent
