<正>Aim: Telomere dysfunction is implicated in senescence and apoptotic signal, but its potential role in apoptpsis induced by cardiac hypertrophy is unknown. In this study, we investigate telomere attrition mediated cardiac myocyte apoptotic signal in cardiac hypertrophy. Also, the effects of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), the major component of polyphenols in green tea, on apoptosis, telomere length and telomere mediated apoptotic signal in cardiac hypertrophy were also detected.
